God’s redemption Plan for Man

In the beginning God created everything on earth and He saw that it was good. God created man in the image of God, the only created being in Gods image.

God placed man in the garden and man’s responsibility comprised of naming all the animals, ruling the earth and man must reproduce and fill the earth. There was only one request! Do not eat of the tree of Good and Evil. If they ate of this tree they would die.

A very clear instruction, we can choose life or we can choose death, we can choose light or darkness. As in every democracy we have a person lobbying for light and we have and evil being lobbying for darkness.

Man chose darkness and as a result man fell to below the level of angels as Heb 2:6 – 8 “But one has [solemnly] testified somewhere [in Scripture], saying, what is man, that you are mindful of him, or the son of man, that you graciously care for him? you have made him for a little while lower [in status] than the angels; you have crowned him with glory and honor, and set him over the works of your hands;  you have put all things in subjection under his feet [confirming his supremacy].” Now in putting all things in subjection to man, He left nothing outside his control. But at present we do not yet see all things subjected to him. [Psa. 8:4-6]

God had a plan for us before the foundation of the world as we see in (Eph 1:4)  Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.

When Jesus prayed in the Garden we can see His desire was not to go the cross it was not His desire, but it was His purpose. “God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).

He “desires for all men to be saved” (1 Tim 2:4). In spite of this desire, God has purposed man with a will to choose, ultimately some will be eternally saved, while others will be eternally damned “

Mat 11:28 Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]

Isa 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.

Joh 3:16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([d] unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
